Scraping ROMs with the ES scraper on external USB HDD ?
-
Is it possible, in order to save space on the SD Card, to have ES to scrape ROMs on the same external USB HDD on which the ROMs are located?
In other words, if I've understood correctly, to have the ES scraper to save the scraped image and their infos respectively in /opt/retropie/configs/all/emulationstation/downloaded_images and /home/pi/.emulationstation/gamelists (the directory /home/pi/ is mounted on the external USB HDD, as described in the wiki) ?
I've seen that it's possible to use Sselphs Scraper to do that, but it only scrape a small number of systems, and not all ROMs a recognized.
Thanks for any help.

I am running Retropie 4.0.2, WD mypassport external HD mounted following the proper directions (did not just change ROM paths, had no luck with that). System running fine w/ mounted USB drive, but having same problem as you with Scraping. Tried to scrape ROMS...which it does....but then says I have no room to "save" the files. Assume 32 GB SD card is maxed out in space as running BerryBoot w/ Raspbian and Retropie loaded into it. As do you, I want to scrape my ROMS stored on USB drive and store the results on the USB drive in the Artwork and Lists folder on the USB drive NOT the SD card. Assuming you can manually copy just artwork and lists using WInSCP to USB drive, but have not tried yet. Then delete off the SD card to free up more space again.
