Pi Model or other hardware: 4B
    Power Supply used: Canakit 3.5A
RetroPie Version Used: 4.7.1, but I can update if it would help for some reason
Built From: written from official image

    Hi,

I bought an argon case that comes with a sata m2 SSD mount to replace the case I was using before. I forgot to buy something to interface with the m2 SSD though. Is there a tool within RetroPie that would allow me to transfer my installation from the micro SD to my cool new SSD?

One reviewer mentioned doing it like this...

"8) app menu > Accessories > SD Card Copier to copy from microSD to SSD
    9) sudo raspi-config Advanced Options to set boot order you'd like"

...but I'm not sure if these tools are in RetroPie - kind of sounds like a pi OS kind of thing. But maybe I'm wrong! I don't really know anything about Linux but I'm willing to mess around.

I know I could just buy a USB dongle or something and image directly to the SSD - I'm just wondering if there's a way to do it without buying something else. And I know this isn't an argon case support forum, just looking for tips!

RetroPie is built upon RaspiOS Lite, so it should accommodate any program that works on RaspiOS.

You can install the Desktop and then also add the SD Card Copier application to clone your SD card to the M2 disk. There are a few other command line applications like rpi-clone that can be used, you can try one of them as an alternative to installing the desktop and the clone app.
