I have migrated my systems from WahCade to Retropie's Edition of Emulation Station 2.10.2. I have a few issues that have arisen since migrating.

The screen Scraper only pulls box art. When I was using WahCade, I had a collection of screen shots for alot of my games. Much of it I made myself. There is no easy way for me to use the collection I made. (Some of the content is wholly Unique, such as Super Game Boy, DOS, and Linux game screens.

I would not mind donating this screenshot collection to TheGamesDB or ScreenScraper.
In a few situations, the Screen Scraper Application produces incorrect MetaData.

It seems not to be able to Discern certain games. It can't tell the difference between Metal Slug 1, Metal Slug 2, and Metal Slug X. It thinks Frogatto and Friends is a Windows game called Forced.

The built-in EmulationStation scraper is very simple and doesn't support multiple types of images, plus not all themes (I think very little, if any) support more than 2 images for the game (game cover and marquee).

There's an option - in EmulationStation's menu - which instructs EmulationStation to use the Local Art, it will look for images under the system's media folder, matched by the game's name.

The search done by the built-in scraper is based on the game/rom's filename. For more advanced scraping options (based on the checksum of the file, transformed name, etc), you may want to try Skraper or ARRM.

@mitu With the exception of some collections that are entirely self made, like the Super Game Boy, in many cases the file names don't entirely match the Rom File name. There are a few reasons for this.

The beginnings of this collection were from a Windows MameWAH resource called EmuChrist. The Screen shots that were Accurate would have slightly off file names. Some world be straight up wrong. This was a screenshot archive from the 90s to Early 2000s, some Nesticle Visual bugs due to not supporting some Memory Mappers.

In some cases where it was necessary I would take new screen shots in the circumstance the screen shot was straight up wrong. (Battletoads and Double Dragon on the Genesis was really bad about that.)

Or a new Rom hack needed a screen shot.

AARM and Skraper appear to be Windows Specific Applications. I am a Straight Linux user with no Windows nodes on my network.

Yes, but that doesn't mean they can't run on Linux. For Linux, you can try Skyscraper, has a lot more flexibility than the built-in EmulationStation scraper.
