      whenever i try to launch emulationstation from the command line it just gives me a black screen but if i go to the desktop launch terminal and type in emulationstation it will work

              @sleve_mcdichael i installed it straight though the retropie site it was working for me until recently

                Did you made any changes to the configuration files before it stopped working ?

                  @mitu i might of i can't remember if i did or not if i did it i was trying to either do something with the fps counter or controller do you know if there's a way to reset the config files to see if that's the cause of this

                    @RobbyThomas2525 update i found out if i use the other micro hdmi port it works anyone know why 1 of them doesn't

                      would anyone know why one of the micro hdmi ports won't boot up emulationstation in the command line but it will work if i boot it to desktop and go thru the terminal but the other one just works i have the raspberry pi 400 and retropie version 4.8
