SNES games not launching
-
Hey, i tried launcing a couple of SNES games and i got these error on all of them
Any idea? I have other games on mega drive and they work -
@CubeBox391 The error displayed is unrelated. That's a message from emulation station due to the wrong audio output being configured in the Emulation Station settings.
Errors running the emulator will be logged to
/dev/shm/runcommand.log
Please provide more details of your setup as detailed https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first

/dev/shm/runcommand.log
there is no folder anywhere called dev

@CubeBox391 Please provide details of your setup as requested. There is a folder called dev - you can access it over sftp or from commandline.

@BuZz i'm running version 4.8 on a rasberry pi 3B+ with the power supply that it came with. On usb port I have the controler that is https://www.amazon.es/SJ-JX-Joystick-Controller-Raspberry/dp/B07WSDCCLH/ref=sr_1_43?keywords=arcade%2Bbutton&qid=1649003078&sprefix=arcade%2Bbutto%2Caps%2C94&sr=8-43&th=1
Can't find the /dev directory, i'm doing \192.168.68.123 with is the ip on explorer but then i can't find it -
@CubeBox391 How did you install RetroPie ?
That folder is not available from network shares. You can access it via SSH or over SFTP. You should enable verbose logging from runcommand also.

@BuZz i get these when trying to acces the file I loged it as PI
-
@CubeBox391 to view a file via the terminal you need to use cat or some other text viewer/editor. eg
cat /dev/shm/runcommand.log
or you could go via winscp/etc and you just download the file

There's your answer.

i don't think there even was a straight 'pacman' for the SNES...
-
@dankcushions do u know any pacman that works?
-
@CubeBox391 there's a snes version of ms. pacman, which will work. there's a few other pacman games (although apart from ms. pacman they don't really play like the original):
basically anything that is actually a SNES game will work on the SNES emulators :)
