The upstream repo has moved to a FAR newer UAE code base that hammers an overclocked Pi 4. :)

They are continuing to maintain a legacy branch that is probably what Retropie should consider switching to for its package, see this issue I raised for details:

      https://github.com/libretro/libretro-uae/issues/511

This is the branch that should now be followed for autobuilds:

      https://github.com/libretro/libretro-uae/tree/2.6.1

As the legacy core is now named puae2021 (with puae2021_libretro.so being the libretro core), perhaps (given Retropie x86 is a thing) it's best if the existing one is kept as-is and a new puae2021 core is introduced?

I will look into adding a module with the legacy version.

            thx for help

For RPI4 better option is 2.6.1
Dune need full cycles compatibility but newest version is too heavy for RPi and audio glitching.
