Issues running amiberry v5.0
-
Hi,
In the past it worked for me compiling the latest amiberry version from github and when finished copying the new files over the old one to /opt/retropie/emulators/amiberry.
Not this time with the new v5. I tried everything i can think of but nothing seems to work.
At the moment when running a game it says Whdload: function not implemented in AmigaDos. Although im familiar with amiga relatet stuff, i cant get it to work.Any tips what im doing wrong?
System is Raspberry pi 4 with official RetroPie distro.
Thanks in advance

After fiddling around with v5 i reverted back to my old build. 4.2.0 to be exactly.
No matter what i did i either was in amigados or the amiberry gui launched an then i had to press resume, then reset and after that i landed in amigados.
As i read in other amiberry related threads there is hope to install v5.0 in retropie-setup in the future. -
It might be an issue with permissions on the whdboot folder and files. Check they are all owned by "pi"
/opt/retropie/configs/amiga/amiberry/whdboot

... Sooo after i gave up on trying to install it by myself, it has been updated within retropie setup, as you know.
Thanks for the video anyway.After i deleted every remnance of the old version and my build attempts it kinda works.
Most of the times i launch a game, it shows me the amiberry menu for some reason. I can click on reset and it will boot the game.
Any clues on this?

@AnalogHero
I'd try a clean build and make sure that works for you (so check a given game file works exactly how you would expect it to in terms of loading/controls etc..).
Then it should just be a case of making sure the configs are the same on a different build. -
@Floob
Thats a good idea. I will try that next. I will use a clean retropie setup and install amiberry there.Not sure what config files i have to look for though
Im pretty sure i wiped everthing that could have anything to do with amiberry before i installed 5.0 (or 5.1) from the setup script.
