      • Today a patch release for the Xenogears that fix a critical bug that can cause soft-lock during a boss fight in the second disk. The patch except the bug fix, offers and some other improvements. More information here :https://www.romhacking.net/hacks/5284/

      • Also, Formula One Arcade doesn't work, it crashes after the loading.

      • Final Fantasy VIII maybe will soft-lock after the Lunar Cry FMV sequence (Disk 3). To avoid this, before the FMV start, enable the "InuYasha Sengoku Battle Fix" in the RetroArch options. Don't forget to disable it after .

Despite the above bugs i have successfully complete Xenogears and Final Fantasy VIII till the end.

My English isn't at a good level.

@jose1711 Is this specifically the PAL version or does it work for NTSC as well? Will have to try it either way when I get a chance. This has been the biggest disappointment in PSX emulation for me for years. No emu runs it right.

Growing older is mandatory. Growing up is optional!
          Enjoy the ride!

Both versions, PAL and USA, are crashing with the latest version of lr-pcsx-rearmed. Maybe the new version of the emulator with the fix, isn't released yet.

Does anyone know how to get the secret characters of Soul Blade/Edge to work? I mean especially Sophitia! and Sophitia!! (and one other I forgot). Whenever I select one of those, the game crashes.
Iirc this also happens on the PSX emulator of the PS3, but definitely with lr-pcsx-rearmed...

I'm playing the Metal Gear Solid this period and I'm at a certain point where you have to do something special to beat a boss.

                Spoiler:

I'm talking about the Psycho Mantis Boss fight, you need to connect the gamepad from port1 to port2 of the PS1 console so he can't read your mind.

I did this in RetroPie with the use of a keyboard and gamepad.

So before the fight with the boss open the RetroArch Main menu, then:

                Settings => Input =>

-Port 1 Binds => Device index. Set it to disable. When you did this, the gamepad will stop responding in the RetroArch, so you have to use the keyboard.

-Port 2 BInds => Device index. Select your gamepad.

Close RetroArch (without saving the settings) and enjoy.

My English isn't at a good level.

Dynasty Warriors was unplayable because it was running very slow. We can fix this if we change the psx cpu clock from the RetroArch menu.

During the game is running, open the RetroArch menu and
from the options change the psx cpu clock from 57 to 78, then choose to save game option fie and restart the emulator.

If you want to backup the option file you can find it to this path
                  /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch/config/PCSX-ReARMed

My English isn't at a good level.

                    Psybadek is now playable
Final Fantasy VIII doesnt' soft lock during Lunar Cry FMV

                      Hey there,

I was trying to get "a bug's life" to work with the lr pcsx rearmed emulator on a raspberry 3b, but unfortunately, when the demo from the game menu begins or when i take a few steps in the game, it crashes back to the emulationstation. Everytime it is accurately the same spot

Maybe i am overseeing something, or is the game not compatible yet?

Pal and NTSC, both yield the same result.

                      Kind greetings

Yes, is crashing here too. I have play this game 1 year ago and it was full playable, maybe the latest version of lr-pcsx-rearmed introduced some issue.

With lr-duckstation game is working fine. If you don't have this emulator you have to install it manually. Just put this script : https://retropie.org.uk/forum/post/275475, on this path :

                        /home/pi/RetroPie-Setup/scriptmodules/libretrocores

Then you can install emulator from experimental packages.

                          Thank you for your reply!

Unfortunately the URL "https://github.com/batocera-linux/lr-duckstation/raw/master/duckstation_libretro_linux_" is not available anymore. Is there another URL i can point the script to, to install the emulator?

                          Greetings

That's not the whole link. It needs the part at the end for the different architecture.

https://github.com/batocera-linux/lr-duckstation/raw/master/duckstation_libretro_linux_armv7.zip for example, still works. (The script does this automatically.)

Thanks for answering and for clarifiying how it works!

The problem i got is, that the download would always time out, for some reason.

I would check that the device is online. Can you update the setup script or install other packages? Can you ping 1.1.1.1?

@Identifizierter You can try to install lr-swanstation instead from this repo: https://github.com/Exarkuniv/RetroPie-Extra

It's a slightly updated version of lr-duckstation that will build first and then install.

                                    @sleve_mcdichael hey,

Thanks for helping me out. Everything else works fine. There is a connection and I can download and install or update everything else. It just is this one emulator I cannot install
