I've noticed in my posts in the Arcade overlays 4:3, 1600x1200 Topic, that some "attached" images, which in previous times where shown as an image, are now just shown as a "text.???" link (see my last post in that threat here).
Is that a temporary effect, why is it... and is it safe (future-proof (for now)) to replace the old "resized/upload"-links with the url those are refering to?

Edit: For additional information: this is a link to one of my messages, where the three images referenced where shown as pictures, and now are just text based links.

@Ashpool Yeah, I also noticed this on my IKEMEN Go thread for the top banner. I opted to just re-upload the image, and the other images on the thread seem to be unaffected, but it does seem concerning.

The preview image looks to have been a -resized file, which is no longer available (or maybe has a wrong path), but the original file is still there (I edited one of the posts and the full image shows up).
Will see why this happens, seems to be forum related.

@mitu Maybe something to do with orphaned files cleaning. There have been some changes related to that recently including some bug fixes. Not sure though.

Thanks to you (and/or maybe BuZz) to have it (somewhat) up working again - maybe (whoever fixed it) may elaborate on the case & why (?)? Because, as I posted 'em the Pictures where all Full Size 1600x1200 (IIRIR). I don't know where the resize/thumbnail part came to happen (previously full size images are now presented in downsized resolution). ... IMHO it makes more sense to have that "resized/thumbnail"-view for showcase images (as the original image would be shown by "clicking"/"following" that "thumbnail-url"), but not for single case presentations, and if I could have opted for it on my DIY-Wall-Mounted-Control-Pannel that would have been wonderfull! If that "resized/thumb"-preview image would be something we users may toggle, or change in what cases the forum software will be creating such a resized view (and how we opt out whence uploading an image) - that would be really great! But, as that would never happen and is beyond this forums admins scope (?), Maybe a spoiler/temp-sticker, or whatsoever to let, still active, users known, that, if they opt for design/layout, they may be checking/editing their old posts???

When you post an image, if it's wider than 1520px, the forum automatically generates a preview image for the post that's smaller, providing a link to the original image.

What I think happened is a bug (?) in the forum job that looks for 'orphaned' uploads (uploaded files from removed or cancelled posts) and deletes them. The job erroneously removed the preview images and thus the missing image in the posts (clicking on the link would still show you the original image).

@BuZz restored the preview images, for now I've disabled the 'cleanup' job until the issue is solved.
