      Hi there,

I'm new to coding. I mean really new, like, just started. Anyway, I assembled my retropie cabinet and installed the os and it works (yay). Now I'm having a lot of fun playing older games now, but I want a splash screen image to be custom. I have no idea how to do that. I read alot of posts on here but it seems like everyone already know how to code. Can someone give a complete newbie a rundown on how to set up my own custom splashscreen step by step?

@BuZz Thank you for responding. I'm not great at explaining things clearly, but I did read the sticky and i have looked there. I guess what I dont understand is where do I paste the image? I tried looking for all these places poeple are telling me to look, but when I put the sd card with the os on my pc, it only shows 62mb and a lot of files, none of which have any names of files or folders anyone is suggesting. do i need a usb stick in the raspberry pi itself, or am i editing it on my windows pc?

@thatdamnlobster the sdcard should be in the RPI. You can copy over the network.
