Yabasanshiro exit game
-
Hi all,
I'm testing Yabasanshiro emulator but I cannot exit game without using mouse and keyboard.
Do you know if is there a method to assign the exit action to a button?
this is my keymapv2.json file:{ "0_PLAYSTATION(R)3Controller-ghic_050000004c0500006802000000800000": { "a": { "id": 0, "type": "button", "value": 1 }, "analogl": { "id": 0, "type": "axis", "value": -1 }, "analogleft": { "id": 4, "type": "axis", "value": 0 }, "analogr": { "id": 0, "type": "axis", "value": 1 }, "analogright": { "id": 5, "type": "axis", "value": 0 }, "analogx": { "id": 0, "type": "axis", "value": 1 }, "analogy": { "id": 1, "type": "axis", "value": -1 }, "b": { "id": 1, "type": "button", "value": 1 }, "c": { "id": 3, "type": "button", "value": 1 }, "down": { "id": 14, "type": "button", "value": 1 }, "l": { "id": 4, "type": "button", "value": 1 }, "left": { "id": 15, "type": "button", "value": 1 }, "r": { "id": 5, "type": "button", "value": 1 }, "right": { "id": 16, "type": "button", "value": 1 }, "select": { "id": 8, "type": "button", "value": 1 }, "start": { "id": 9, "type": "button", "value": 1 }, "up": { "id": 13, "type": "button", "value": 1 }, "x": { "id": 2, "type": "button", "value": 1 }, "y": { "id": 6, "type": "button", "value": 1 }, "z": { "id": 7, "type": "button", "value": 1 } }, "player1": { "DeviceID": 0, "deviceGUID": "050000004c0500006802000000800000", "deviceName": "PLAYSTATION(R)3Controller-ghic", "padmode": 1 } }

I had the same issue few months ago with Logitech 710 but it is working now and i can exit Yabasanshiro. I dont know if something was change or something i did wrong the first time. If you have a lot time to update your system then try to update.
-
@windg when did you upgrade system last time?

Hey , @pscotto1234 @windg
i have the same problem cant go to menu yabasanshiro.
any news about it ?
i did an update for all today pi4. -
@shavecat Few months it was working ok for me but now i have the same issue. I have to use a keyboard to open menu with ESC button.

@windg So this is a weird one but I think I know what's causing it to go from working to not working. It seems the mapping "populates" from es_temporaryinput.cfg, which gets changed when you hook up a different controller to your setup. If you replace the info there with
the correct info for your controller you're currently using from es_input.cfg, that returns it to working. At least it did for me. I've had to do this more than once, though - whenever I connect new controllers. -
@bbilford83
HMMM i have a dualshock 3
still didnt really get how to make it works :\ -

Thanks. -
@pscotto1234 So I will do my best to explain but first can you clarify, were you never able to exit or were you formerly but now you can't?
The complicated part that I might not be able to explain is how to do it initially, because someone walked me through that, but I know how to fix it if it was working for you but now isn't.

@bbilford83
Before it was exit with ps and start btn together when press ,
now after the update its doing nothing ...
i need to log in a keyboard and a mouse to quit and that's too much work ...
so usually i just rest :\ -
@shavecat OK great. That I think I can help with. Go to \retropie\configs\all\emulationstation\ and you will see an es_input.cfg file as well as an es_temporary.cfg file. If you open up the former, you'll see a list of all the controllers your setup currently will recognize and their mapping. Each one will be introduced with a line that looks something like this: " <inputConfig type="joystick" deviceName="8BitDo SN30 Pro+" deviceGUID="05000000c82d00000261000000010000">." Now open the temporary one, and you will see it will only list one controller. Replace whatever is in there now with the correct controller info from es_input.cfg, then save.
At least for me, that fixes the emulator mapping in yabasanshiro so I can exit again, but I've had to do it again anytime I connect a different controller to my pi.

Thanks, I'll give it a try.
