PCSX2 & other emulators Crashing on Retropi (Ubuntu x86)
-
Seen some similar issues but they don't reflect the issue I have run into. My Retropie is installed on an Intel NUC with Ubuntu 20.x. A couple of months ago all worked fine. Started it tonight and my MiniMac, Atari emulators and PS2 emulator is dead. They will get to the point that they load (window with configuration for the emulator). Then the screen returns to the EmulatorStation GUI. Nothing in the logs, nothing has been changed. Its a static environment that is not connected to the internet. Any ideas how to proceed? Leaning towards complete reinstallation but that feels like a defeat.

If you launch
pcsx2
standalone from a terminal (without launching it from EmulationStation), does it work ? Do you have enough free disk space on your system ? Are other emulators working (i.e. RetroArch) ? -
@mitu I have sufficient memory on the NUC. When I tried running it as a standalon it worked perfectly. MiniMac also worked. Some of the emulators are working. Seems to be a random problem. My snes emulator worked yesterday and have now stopped working...

Run it with verbose logging and post the log file (
/dev/shm/runcommand.log
) on pastebin.com.
