      I'm having all sorts of strange troubles with the new 3do emulator..black screen..pointing to the right bios rom(s), unless there is a perfect one out there that i don't have. Anyhow, all was well before i updated the 3do emulator.

      Does anyone have an older link to lr-opera from 2020 i think it was ,that i can install and use and me hopes it will solve my problem.

        @duglor

        Hi again. I am looking to simply remove the installation of the current Opera. Then I would like to install the 2020ish Opera emulator that supports most of the games that the current one does now. It might be the binary 2 times ago.

        Unless someone thinks that is not the reason. I have 4.71 and i think perhaps the problem for the black screen is the new opera won't run (black screen) unless it is 4.711 or 4.8 etc..... because i've tried pointing to the bios and everything else one could think of. lol. I havent' spent so much time being a failure before. I LOVED LOVED playing the 3do stuff on my pie and this is very dejecting.

          I GOT IT

          The Final Answer - 2 parts.......1. Match your bios selction point to your correct approx 1 meg rom...for example panafz10.bin or fz-10.bin or FZ-10.bin or fz10.bin, one of those worked. I can't tell you which one it was. I had the panafz10.bin rom and the FZ-10.bin rom that renamed to both lowercase fz10.bin and fz-10.bin.

          THIS IS HUGE- OPTIONS-> TURN OPERA OS SWI-HLE to ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BING! BING! BING! BING!

            @duglor None of that should matter. It sounds to me something is wrong with the build.

            The rom needed is defined in the docs, you only need one, and is available from 3dodev.com. swi-hle should have absolutely no impact. The status should literally have zero impact on observable behavior.

              @trapexit Yes, if i shut it off it no longer works again.
              How can that even be? Very strange. I tell you the innards of this thing are very complex because of the possibility of so many mappings and settings that can work at cross purposes with multiple emulators living together :) :D I can also tell you that multiple folks have gotten in touch with me and said that's what fixed their black screen as well. whatever.........??? hehe. The nature of of beast I guess. I'm going to put together a new build as soon as a few new emulators come out for the Pie.

                As I mentioned it is a bad build. Could be a bug in the code. Could be something with the build. Without an ability to reproduce it I can't really do much.

                There isn't anything particularly complicated about Opera settings. Everything except the one feature said to be experimental they are all just feature settings and don't otherwise make or break anything.

                  @trapexit Can you shoot me a mail to my yahoo at <deleted>....when you do, i'll change this msg. I need to ask you some questions that might drone on for people here. Some are simple i think and I don't want to get flamed. lol.

                  be well!

                    @duglor Don't do that. The forum exists as a public support resource for every user.
                    If you want to ask something (and it's within the forum rules) just ask, don't beg developers to email you for private conversations from forum topics.

                      @mitu @trapexit Ok.
                      Here goes.
                      How do I get the mouse to work with lr-opera?

                      Specifically as a Light gun.

                      I can get the analog sticks to simulate one, but i have not been able to activate a mouse with the emulator.

                      Sigh...how's that? :~( Be well Mitu!

                        @duglor If this is about your 3rd party image, you won't get support here. You have to choose - either that or this forum.

                          @mitu This forum. I'm building one asap. Just want to make sure I can use a mouse ok beforehand. I have a new Hard drive and an sd card ready to download. Also, isn't this something that would help everyone...or do you find it easy to add mouse to lr-opera support via the emulator or in retroarch?

                            @duglor After you build it, then you can test if the mouse works - the opera-libretro core supports the lightgun input device with a mouse as far as I know.

                              @duglor You just select the device type of 3DO Lightgun from the controls menu. It's the same as other cores.

                                @trapexit so no action to "enable mouse" ...it just gets enable by choosing that?

                                  I don't understand what you're asking exactly. As I said... just set the control to 3DO Lightgun. That enables the 3DO Lightgun controller which is emulated via the mouse. It's not really any different from any other core.
