Controller used: Logitech, Inc. Dual Action Gamepad, DragonRise Inc. Gamepad

      Emulator: mupen64

I've got three controllers, a logitech dual action and two snes knockoffs. For N64 I'd like to set the logitech to player 1. I downloaded https://github.com/meleu/RetroPie-joystick-selection and it works for most systems, but doesn't have an option for mupen64. So I tried to directly edit /opt/retropie/configs/n64/mupen64plus.cfg, but it gets overwritten when I try to open a game. How can I accomplish this?

The .cfg is written when emulator starts based on the device detection order. Plug in first the Logitech controller and then the other 2 SNES clones and see if it that puts the Logitech controller as Player 1.
