Megadrive scrapes won’t save
-
Hello, I’m new to all this and I’ve been searching for a solution and haven’t found any useful info. I currently have games for Megadrive, Master System, SNES and NES loaded in RetroPie. Scraping has been successful for every system but Megadrive. I’m able to complete the scrape but it will not save. Next time I power up the system, all the info is gone. Any ideas?

Please fill out the info asked in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first.
How are you scraping - using EmulationStation's scraper or through one of the external scrapers ?

Thanks for responding. I really appreciate any help I can get with this. I’m using the emulation station scraper. Version 4.8. Raspberry pi 3. Downloaded from RetroPie website. I’m using a 3 amp micro usb power supply. Logitech f310 Gamepad. No other usb devices connected. No error messages. One thing I noticed is if I go into the config folder. All-emulation station-downloaded images-Megadrive, all the images that were scraped are there but they don’t show up in the Megadrive game library. Not having issues with other systems. Thanks again for your help.

Can you try opening an image or two to see if they're not corrupted ?
Also check if your sdcard is not full - exit EmulationStation and a welcome banner will show up on the console and it includes how much free space you have on your
/
partition. If it's close to 100%, then the issue may be that EmulationStation cannot correctly write the gamelist file on shutdown. Typeemulationstation
from the console to go back to EmulationStation. -
@mitu I opened a couple and they seem ok. I will check the space left on the card. I don’t think that’s it though. It’s a 64 gb card and I formatted it before using and the only thing on it is RetroPie and the ROMs. Maybe I’ll start with a fresh new SD and new install and see if that solves it. Thank you.
