Can’t move left or right in nes games since it changes the filters

when i move the dpad to the left or the right it changes filter on the nes system. ive only seen it on the nes system but havent tried most of the other ones but some of the systems dont seem to be affected

sd card with the raspberry pie imager stuff on the retro pie
no usb devices unless i have my keyboard
xbox1 controller
no error messages

@Zidget are you pressing L-trigger? That, in conjunction with left/right, by default will change the color palette in lr-fceumm -- you can remap or disable this in quick menu > controls > port {n} controls

@sleve_mcdichael no im pressing dpad left/right. ive rebined it to left trigger left and right but that shouldnt make a differnce

@Zidget i also installed some new themes. i installed soda and comic book. it only started hapenning after that

Sorry can you clarify? Are you using the triggers as the dpad, or...?
