Retropie slower on raspberry 4 than 3 ?
-
Does anyone experience that feeling where Retropie perform slower on Raspberry 4 than 3 ?
I recently upgraded and I feel everything is slower, I experience clipping even in master system games.
I don't know if they are some specific settings that I missed and should know about ?

@Darksavior Which link ?
It is not tearing that I have. I really have glitches. Maybe it's a temperature issue but I am not sure (I have active cooling, not sure how good it is however, and did not overclock my pi).
I have those issues in every game, even in Super Mario World which I played a lot with the pi3. On several games, when the character gets hit, it disapear for a few moments (seen on Super Mario Bros, Wonder Boy in Monsterworld).
My roms are located on a NAS. I don't see how it could be related however, I guess that on such small games, once it is loaded the game does not need any drive access. I haven't tested on more advanced (PSX) games for the moment.

@Zangdaarr The only link that's on top of the page: https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first
Are you using a 4k monitor/tv? If so, then change the resolution to 1080p.

@Zangdaarr doubt it's your NAS. I use one for my pi4 and pi zero; cd based games do take 30-40 seconds to load but they play absolutely fine. As above, it must be something quirky in your setup, post your list of hardware & what versions you're on

@Darksavior said in Retropie slower on raspberry 4 than 3 ?:
ge the resolution to 1080p.
I saw that on reddit and did it, and yeah, it helped a lot.
I am using group 2 and mode 82, I wonder if group 1 mode 16 would do a difference.I still have a few glithces but nothing insane. But still worst than pi 3.
I am considering buying a better case, I have active cooling but it's noisy.
The PSU seems fine (5V/3A).
