Post preparation actions for ROMs

Hello,
After downloaded and installed the retropie software at my Pie 2, I would like to find the appropriate ROMs in order to start the gaming. I managed to prepare a USB stick in order to transfer the ROMs, but I still try to find any legitimate links for the ROMs. For example, I would like to download the NES Super Mario or such as other games, where can I find them?
