Controller working in emulationstation but not in retroarch
-
I'm using retropie with my raspberry pi 4 and 8Bitdo zero 2. The controller works on emulationstation but not inside games (same problem using a keyboard). I tried to change the retroarch configuration files, but I've only managed to get the start key to work changing 'udev' to 'sdl2'.
Any solution? -
Please add more details about your setup, as asked in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first.
Is the controller is working in ES, it should work similarly in RetroArch, there's no need to change the input driver. Is the firmware updated on the controller ?

I run retropie on a docker container.
In the following video you can see that it's not a problem with Docker because I have the controller comnected to my Raspberry Pi (Bluetooth) and it works on Emulationstation. When I launch a room (Dr Mario for example) it doesn't work.

I run retropie on a docker container.
That's not a supported nor tested configuration. Try it without docker and see if you have the same issue - if not, then you know who to blame.

@mitu
I wanted to play in a docker container because I can't install Retropie on Debian 11, and I didn't want to buy another sd card only for testing , but It seems it will be the best way...
