USB Joystick and BT controller
-
Hi all,
I have been all over the internet as well as this forum and maybe I missed it, but I have a statement followed by a question. I want to build a retropie arcade (upright, with display, joysticks and buttons) but I also want to be able to use a bluetooth controller as some of my games will be too limited with the arcade setup. So here is my question, if I have two arcade joysticks and buttons hardwired to my raspberry pi, is it possible to have a bluetooth controller connected as well (8bitdo) and if so, how would I choose which set of controls (Arcade or 8Bitdo) to use for certain games/BIOS?I am using a Raspberry Pi 4B with provided power supply running Retropie
I have the 8bitdo SN30
Looking to use Geek Pub Arcade sticksThanks in advance!

@Fungus if you are using libretro emulator, (That’s most of them) You can set the Bluetooth controller to act as another player. So set the Bluetooth controller to act as player 1 under the controller options. No need to reconfigure the main control panel.
You can change this option per game or universal for all emulators, or even just a specific emulator. -
@lostless That's great news. I have come across numerous articles about changing the button config for certain games, but I didn't know you could change the controllers for certain BIOS. Thank you very much!
