Hi march_, Ninja Commando (a Neo Geo game) is now also available on Prime Gaming. I wrote a Bash script to convert it to a romset for fbalpha2012_neogeo_libretro:

Thank you for your feedback! It gave me the strength to create two new scripts: one for Ghost Pilots, and one for Art of Fighting 3, which are also available on Prime Gaming right now. They are here: https://github.com/lioneltrs/goNCommand

Edit: it should now work with FBNeo (with the correct CRC32). Now, thanks to kind contributors, there are scripts for the following games: Ninja Commando, Ghost Pilots, Art of Fighting 3, Magician Lord, Ninja Master's, Crossed Swords, Sengoku, Super Sidekicks, The Last Blade 2, Robo Army, Samurai Shodown IV, Last Resort.

@lionel_Z80 Scripts working on Linux. Thanks. :) Metal Slug 4 and Ninja Master's is also available. An own thread/discussion for your scripts would be a good idea I think. I have to check how this works in detail. :D

Edit: Roms not running on my Odroid Go Super. I'm checking this the next days. Perhaps another emulator works.

So I have been dumping and playing my GBA games for a while now for use with RetroPie. And I was curious if I could share my method on how I do it. It does require a little bit of GameCube/Wii homebrew so I dunno

As far as I can tell, this topic mainly covers how to legally obtain roms without dumping them. Rom dumping is discussed in the Docs.

For anyone that got Metal Slug 4 on Prime, is it possible to rebuild the ROM from its included files? It has some suspiciously-looking files (s1.bin, sp_4j.bin, sp_4s.bin, m1.bin, s2.bin, p1.bin, v1.bin, c1.bin) in a suspiciously-named folder ("rom"), but I can't seem to find a dat file that can get clrmamepro to rebuild it.

Idk, if it was listed already here, but Rogue64 (2022, 5 USD) could be something if you are into roguelike, dungeon-crawler games. TIL they also will release an Amiga version of it later this year. 😎

The site Indie Retro News is always worth a stop to catch up on free (or for little pocket money) available games. Plus you can filter by the system and/or genre you are interested in. And they do offer an RSS feed.
