GAME BOY E-CARD Help on pi4 Please..

Hello, I'm using a pi-4 i have read that E-cards can work in retroarch and tried everything.
I must be overlooking something anyone can help.
I'm using pi4 with the emulator VBA_Next at first it said can't extract the file n sits on Game-Boy screen, I then extracted it the warning of unable to extract is gone, but it still sits on Gameboy intro screen am I close?
I would appreciate any help thanks.
