Does anybody know what these 5 small "arrows" below Options and Menu mean ?

    0_1476037503240_es menu.jpg

They sometimes show up inside specific systems pages.

@UDb23 What theme are you using? It looks like the top of the stars for ratings. Normally they are pushed off the screen, but they could be peaking out.

@UDb23 Did you scrape the game yet? The rating stars is my best guess. They aren't listed having a position. It may just be that adding the game moved them up a bit or that the screen got smaller. N64 changes the resolution of emulationstation until I play a different system.

@pompitousofseth No scraping yet. As Long as the arrows (or parts of stars) are not indicators of any problem it's not an issue if they show up. :-)

@UDb23 they shouldn't mean anything. There are no indicators like that in emulationstation.

@UDb23: I think @pompitousofseth is right about it being the tops of the ratings stars. I've had it happen while theme-building, if you position elements of the Basic or Detailed views a certain way, they can end up displaying on the System view. It might be something to bring up with @Rookervik who created the Carbon theme.

@mattrixk At first I thought it was part of the background and the footer moved up. But I looked at the artwork for the theme and saw nothing that's what made me think of the stars. I used to have issues with some of the theme elements popping back up, or them showing up in a place I thought they would be hidden.

I probably caused it with some carbon updates :) Hiding stuff is putting it off screen, maybe unsuccessfully in this case, but I'll take a look.

@BuZz perhaps instead of moving off screen we can just render it as transparent: FFFFFF00

GridView is still a work in progress, with @jacobfk20 adding updates just about every week or so. As far as I'm aware, @lilbud's Material theme is the only one that currently supports GridView (although I could be wrong).

I've been looking into it for my themes, but I don't really have any free time at the moment, so I've had to put it all on hold for the time being.

@mattrixk Understandable. I'm just a little over excited about the grid mode @jacobfk20 has been working on.

Cheers for the offer @lilbud. It's not so much a matter of ability, as it is of time.

I wake up, go to work, get home, make dinner, put the kid in the bath, put the kid to bed, spend time with the wife, go to bed, repeat. On weekends, replace 'work' with 'house work' (washing, mowing, dishes, cleaning etc). The only time I have to myself is from between 10pm - midnight, so I can either go to bed at a decent time, or do something for myself for a couple of hours. Usually I just read to unwind/relax.
