Music background Menu Error
-
Good evening guys, how are you ?
I downloaded the current version of retropie ( retropie-buster-4.8-rpi2_3_zero2w.img.gz ) but updated it with the command to leave pt-BR ( sudo apt install libcec ) ( git clone --recursive https://github.com/flyinghead /EmulationStation.git ) .....
It translates the menu correctly, but the background music stops working, there is an .mp3 file in the roms/music folder.
When I click on start, audio, it is always at 0%, even if I increase it to 100%, it returns to 0% automatically.
I believe you have to change something in the configuration to get the music working again.
Can anyone help me?
I want the background music to play while I choose the emulator and I can increase or decrease its volume.
- When I enter the emulator, when changing rons it makes noise, it just doesn't play the backgrund music :(

@MicheliBarcello I am not familiar with that fork, but RetroPie/EmulationStation, from which that one is forked, doesn't have any in-built background music functionality. Is that something the fork is supposed to have added? Otherwise, you'll need to manually install an external third-party script to manage the music. @ExarKunIv has compiled a list of music players at the end of the first post of this thread:

Please add some info about your setup, as detailed in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first.
The error you're seeing means the default Audio settings in EmulationStation need to be changed, but that depends on how your audio is connected (HDMI/Analog/USB card ?).

I did a test, I recorded the image on the SD card ( retropie-buster-4.8-rpi2_3_zero2w.img.gz )
And I put 1 roms/snes and 1 music roms/musicThe problem continues with the menu.
Sound missing in EmulationStation and/or games.
System Volume slider stuck at 0% in EmulationStation's Sound settings.
I can't change the volume through the menuI only recorded the clean image and added 1 rom and 1 song and the error continues.
I'm using an HDMI monitor, but the sound is 3.5 jackl with USB power -
You still haven't said the Pi model you're using, as asked in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first. Can you please add that info ?
You need to configure the Audio:
- first in the RetroPie system, by opening the Audio entry there and choosing Headphones as your audio output
- next in EmulationStation's menu, under the Audio sub-menu, choose the default card to be either PCM or Headphones.
