Settings not persisted after power loss!
-
Hello, I'm running RetroPie is v4.5.13 on Raspberry 3.
Everything works great, but I'm experiencing an annoying bug: some settings are not persisted after a power loss.
I mean that wide-system settings such as network configuration, blueetooth settings and so on are correctly saved.
On the other hand, per-emulator settings, such as game collection lists, or even per-game settings (like custom control mapping on MAME games), are not persisted. So I can't understand if it's a bug related to EmulatuionStation or whatever.
This happens with every emulator installed: MAME, Snes, Playstation...I'm not very experienced with this: I simply used to run MAME on my pc back in the time :)
And yes, I know that I'm running a quite old version :), but I would like to understand if this is a known issue and if updating could solve this. Thanks in advance!

Yanking the power out from the Pi without properly shutting down the system can cause filesystem corruption or sd card damage, which can lead to unexpected results, including symptoms like you described.
From the settings you mentioned, only custom collection settings are EmulationStation specific, the rest are emulator configurations, which should be written/persisted when you exit the game. If you shutdown properly, does the issue still happens ?
