Joystick Buttons Won't "Enter" (not mapped correctly) in Retropie Setup Script
-
Hi - I feel silly that I can't figure this out, but maybe someone can help.
When I enter the Retropie Setup Script Page (to do updates) none of my joystick buttons are mapped correctly for "enter". I have a keyboard and a usb joypad also attached which work perfectly, but my joystick button (whichever one is supposed to be "enter") isn't mapped right. This means I have to pull out the keyboard and hit "enter" to navigate through the Setup Script menu.
My joystick and buttons work perfectly in all emulators and Emulation Station and Retroarch. I probably manually saved a config file by accident when I was setting up Retropie last year and screwed it up.
Anyway, if anyone knows how to map buttons for the Retropie Setup Script, or where that config file is located, I would appreciate it. Thanks for your help!

The enter is button number "0" on a controller. Whichever button on your controller that may be. If you dont have a controller that has a button "0" then you need a keyboard to go through the menu's

@tfpHumorBlog you can discover which button is the "0" using

Yes, none of my joystick directions or buttons are mapped to "0" - my joysticks and buttons are plugged into a Mini PAC with Harness and mapped all the buttons like a keyboard to 'a' 'b' 'c', etc. Any suggestions? Thanks for the help!

if you have mapped to keyboard, you will have to either change it so one is mapped to enter, or just use a small wireless keyboard for configuring etc.
