Amerzone (PSX) disc swap not working on retropie

I can actually swap the disc (using .m3u playlist or eboot) but the game says it's the incorrect disc (same error with retroarch on windows). Oddly enough, if I start the game with disc 2 inserted, the game recognizes it as such and asks for disc 1 (inserting disc 1 like this also doesn't work).

Tried the same rom and save on another emulator (PCSXR) and it works, so it's not a rom problem. Also tried with the portuguese version on retroarch and disc swapping also doesn't work.

Anyway, it was possible to reproduce the issue. It looks like an incompatibility issue with the emulator. I reported it upstream: https://github.com/libretro/pcsx_rearmed/issues/877

Developer, fix the issue!

Try building or updating the emulator from source so you have the latest version.
