pi 5 display rotate
-
Hi all. On the older pi versions I would enter this command
sudo nano /boot/config.txt
and add
display_rotate=3The file has moved to /boot/firmware/config.txt now but adding the line to the end of that file has no effect at all. Does anyone know where the setting is now?

There is no compatible settings on the newer RaspiOS - if you want to rotate 270 deg your screen, you'll have to use the desktop configuration utility and start a desktop session to apply this configuration.

I am really not liking this new model! No soundcard, files have moved (still cannot find gamelist.xml from neither typical location), no OS install image, etc.
Do you have a link for your suggestion please. I am not sure I follow ehre that is.

@mitu Thank you very much. Hopefully the desktop can be disabled afterwards!

It can be, but the rotation will also not work outside the desktop.

@mitu I just tested and this will work just fine. emulation station will flip when launching through terminal on the desktop. Bummer that the setting does not stick after a reboot. This is for an arcade machine so it doesnt reboot often anyway. Thanks again.
