Downloading Dreamcast Games to Retopie
-
When i download a dreamcast game and unzip it i get more then one file. I have tried to put the file in a folder but when loading on retropie you get more then one file with the game on. I loaded the first file up which works but when trying to press start to load the game nothing happens any ideas?

I have the same problem, I'd rather not create another thread since I found this here! Basically, I download a Dreamcast game only to find multiple parts zipped under the same name.
For example Marvel vs Capcom.
Unzipping the initial .rar file gives me 4 other zipped files.
Each named, MVC2.part01.rar , part02 etc
when each of those is unzipped I get the same file name "zer-mvc2"Obviously, the same file name can't exist in the same folder so do I need to combine them somehow or are they really the same game?

@Leo Also what happened to the Dreamcast folder for the ROMs?

@Leo said

Its missing the file extension .cdi from what you have written. When unzipping in should auto go through part1-4 and give you one final file which should be zer-mvc2.cdi

@trixta Sorry I failed to be clear, yes all the final files had .cdi its just that they all had the same file name.

@Leo sounds like ur unraring them 1 by 1 instead of all together. The unpacked size should be 1 file over 720mb. Judging by the .rar name you got it from the same place as me (which we cant mention). And it works perfectly, un rar and you should get a folder with 4 .rar files in, unrar them together and you will get the full image.

@trixta Cheers for that, I never thought that was the problem, I'll try it.
