hi im working on this project
    https://learn.adafruit.com/pigrrl-2/overview

but the design dont have a joystick and the gba emulator im using (gpsp) uses the joystick on the controller as the d pad on the gba.

And i've seen people saying you should just edit your controls in the f10 menu of gpsp but every time i've edited something in that menu and i go of the game and go into it again it hasent saved my changes and is just back to default (using the joystick as d pad)

is there anyway to save the changes permently or any other way to fix the problem?

    thanks in advance

      GPSP saves correctly here.

However I can't advise as you haven't provided any information as we ask when you register (as well as in bold at the top of the screen)

I would probably also recommend you use a libretro core - but depends on what RPI you are running on.

You need to exit gpsp from the menu with "Exit gpSP" after configuring controls, not by pressing exit etc.

This is of course documented in the wiki. https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/game-boy-advance#gpsp
