Hi all. Im sorry it is has been answered zillion of times here in the forum. I spent weeks trying to fix this and I've read many tutorials but it seems that Im missing something.

I have a raspberry 3B, with the lastest retropie version (I redownloaded it yesterday) Im using a xbox 360 controller.
Im triying to customize controls in the diferent emulators, and I got it pressing Select + X while in the game.

So far so good, but whathever I do it wont save. I can play with my changes made but everytime I change a game I need to do everything again.

So, do you have any clue what should I do?

I must say I new to this, so please try to explain to me like if I had 4 years.

    Thanks!

@Rad_Schuhart You need to turn save config on exit on by editing the retroarch.cfg fine to change this from false to true so it'll save your changes.

Retropie in a NES - Pi 3 with Mausberry circuit shutdown switch wired to buttons and 8bitdo NesPro30 controller
Retropie in a Saturn Controller - Pi Zero, GPIO controls using DB9 driver
      Retropie in a PSX - Pi3

It's also possible to manually save the config - by going to "configurations" and doing "Save Current Configuration"

If this is the only thing you wanna do, the best and simplest way to do it is through Core Input Remapping. And it doesn't need the config_save_on_exit enabled to work.

              https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/RetroArch-Configuration#core-input-remapping

The problem is that if you already enabled config_save_on_exit, probably your configs are messed. If you don't know how to recover the retroarch.cfg.rp-dist files, I suggest a fresh install and then using Core Input Remapping.

And, of course, searching the answers on the wiki always helps...

Jesus Christ, it seems that I got it!. Thanks for your help!

And yeah, trust me when I say that I've read the wiki, I've read a lot of forums and spent hours watching videotutorials in youtube. I was really desperate.
