FC30PRO N64 Z Button plus kodi Questions

Hey everyone. I am fairly new to retropie. I have successfully installed the basics. I got bluetooth working on two 8bitdo fc30pro controllers. My first issue is I am trying to play n64 games. The contoller seems to work really well with the n64 emulator but i can not get a z button to work and not sure how I would do this. Again I am using an 8bitdofc30pro. Inside the n64 emulator everything on the 8bitdo workd great. the thing is that I do not seem to have a button bound to the z button. Is there something that I am missing?
Question 2... I am looking to install kodi. I currently have a powered usb hub. 2 external drives with 4 tb each. I want to be able to plug the two usb drives to the retropie using the hub. Will the kodi work like this? Can I just plug in the two harddrives and kodi will be buildig the library. ? Both drives are 4 tb and will be connected to the powered usb hub. theya are also formatted to ntfs.. Will this work?
