3.5" LCD Screen Help
-
Hello! I just got a Raspberry Pi 3 a few days ago, and got Retro Pie working on it with a monitor and an HMDI cord. But I have a little 3.5" LCD Screen that plugs right into the board I would like to use. But I cannot find anything on how to use the screen instead of the HDMI. Any ideas? If you need more information please let me know. Thanks!

@StarLord64
You can google raspberry pi DSI LCD. But basically that connector isn't used much. The support for generic lcds is lacking.In order to use your 3.5 inch display you would need your own driver board that would then connect to the pi via hdmi or composite. I am not great at telling you how to find a driver board though as it is tricky unless you are good with finding model numbers and specs
Sorry to f this bursts your bubble, maybe google has better ideas as this is more of a general raspberry pi display question than a retropie one

You have the references of your screen? Brand, model? Is it a SPI or a DPI?

@maz I've spent quite a bit of time on Google and couldn't find anything, sadly.

@StarLord64 you can read this link text it's for recalbox but i think it's the same for retropie. The last chapter is for the 3.5 spi they explain why this one don't work... (sorry for my poor english)
