I'm using the NES30 controller from 8bitdo for my Retropie in a Raspberry Pi 3.

I'm trying to avoid using a keyboard as much as possible, but when i'm playing a MAME game there are 2 unavoidable buttons: "insert coin" and "player 1".

My question is, exists a way to set these buttons on my gamepad?

      Thank you!

The 'P1 Start' and 'Insert Coin' should indeed be mapped to 'Start' and 'Select' respectively, but if this is not the case, you'll need to supply the requested information in order to troubleshoot the issue.

@tonimarquez84 which emulator are you using? I am expecting the same behaviour with mame4all. Put your roms to mame-libretro and "select" / "start" works fine for me using NES30pro

@daeks said in Insert coin on gamepad:

I am expecting the same behaviour with mame4all. Put your roms to mame-libretro

As he may be new to all of this and assuming he is indeed using mame4all, it should also be noted that if he were to try this, it's important that he then select lr-imame4all from the runcommand menu, as it shares the same requirement of using the 0.37b5 ROM set specifically.
