      Hi there, is it possible to transfer the progress from the retropie back to you mac OSX and continue playing the game?

        yes, if your pi is on the network, open it and go to the Roms share. Inside you'll find where your roms are organized by system. Inside you'll find *.srm files. Those are the save files from the game. Just copy to to wherever the macs emulator keeps its srm files. As long as the rom name is the same, it should work. Just know that .State, which are manual save states files, will not work. it only works on games that save on a real console.

          @lostless some emulators will only read save files from the same version of emator So it may not work. You just have to try and see.
