      What do you mean by "mounting" the image? I'm very sorry: but I'm not going to watch a video. I'd like some text. With that I can work.

      Good luck trouble shooting! :-)

              The sceenshots are impossible to read (some too small, some rotated). But I see a message flying by that says fs error which means something like "file system error". Retropie has troubles re-sizing the partition. Eiter the image is written to the SD cards the wrong way by `Win32 disk image' (no idea what that program is...) or your SD card is corrupt.

              I've had this problem many a time w/ writing images to SD cards w/ utilities like Unetbootin etc. Only method that worked for me was a tutorial that described how to write the image to SD card w/ 'ye ol' dangroes command line program dd (in Linux). In windows I'm afraid you're stuck w/ aforementionend Win23 program thingy.

              Do you have a link to the tutorial that you followed in text form? Good luck writing the RetroPie image to SD card. :-)

                @Meneer-Jansen

                LOL that "Win32 program thingy"works perfectly fine, very easy and fast.

                @w3bboy

                I would try writing your image with Win32 without doing any formatting as it does this itself. It should be fine with the ScanDisk Ultra, it's what I use might just be a bad card though.
                Also what power supply are you using with your Pi3 ? It really needs a 2.4 amp or better to work correctly, it will start doing strange things without proper power. At leas that what I found.

                  I agree w/ @Finhead on the power thing. Weird things happen on an under powered Pi.

                    Try either creating RetroPie from Raspbian
                    http://blog.petrockblock.com/2012/07/22/retropie-setup-an-initialization-script-for-retroarch-on-the-raspberry-pi/
                    Or using a different SD card.

                    Also, if you see a rainbow square in the corner, you need a better power supply.

                        @w3bboy I'll take a stab at this as I've seen something similar to what you are describing and it was a storage issue in my case. You might try going here to see if it will help in your case. I had trouble (for whatever reason I don't know) upon first boot that the automatic resizing of the partition did not take correctly and had to do it manually. You can ignore the parts about changing the cmdline.txt file for using a USB thumbdrive (but I'd HIGHLY recommend you investing in one! I've got a 128GB stick with only 8GB free on mine after loading it up with everything I had) and just jump to the part "Once booted, " area about deleting and recreating a primary partition.

                        Keep in mind, you're limited with that 8gb card in the number of roms you'll be able to throw on there...

                        This may/may-not help but thought I'd give ya a poke......
