      Hi,

just downloaded the last version of retropie 1 hour ago and updated it, updated setup script/package everything

      I use a 8BITDO controller nes30 pro (http://www.8bitdo.com/nes30pro/)

      issues:

      • START+SELECT only works on the keyboard , not in the games, I want the retropie to be used without any keyboard

      • in the game, only the directional cross is working, not the other buttons

      • the gamepad input settings dialog is (still) plain horrible to use, one cant go back if any mistake is made nor exit, so I have to reboot the whole system unplugging the cable..is there at least any way to exit the dialog without messing the old config ???

otherwise the whole navigation is completely unusable since that wizard cannot override old buttons bindings and forces to write a wrong config file, so I have manually remove it

(this is ludicrous, come on...) I keep telling myself, I am missing something here...how can people use retropie without having to constantly F4 the thing out of it with a keyboard around ????

      thanks

@phil123456 see the link at the top of the screen - try and provide the info requested in future posts.

Did you follow https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/Setting-up-an-8bitdo-Bluetooth-controller ? Sounds like the mapping hack is set wrong or you have wrong firmware.

If you make an error in settings dialog after you have done the basic controls, you can skip get to OK, and adjust by going back up.

@BuZz from ON to OFF did not change anything
I also added the udev rule, and rebooted

but something is odd with the controller, it keeps turning off, although I reloaded it whole night long

also START+SELECT is only available from the keyboard, can I change this ?

@phil123456 did you reconfigure the controller in emulation station after switching it off?

@BuZz now I did, it worked

                    and start+select too

wow, you're the man, since my controller was not working I skipped these parts, but with the new version of retropie, it works like a charm

                    thanks
