      Hi,

I built a Picart for my friends kid to play NES games.

I want a front end that let him just plug it in and play with no options to change any of the configurations or menus etc..

Its a Raspi Zero with the latest Retro Pie installed.

      Cheers!

        Have you looked at this?

        RetroPie v4.5 • RPi3 Model B • 5.1V 2.5A PSU • 16GB SanDisk microSD • 512GB External Drive

@mediamogul Perfect. Thank you. Though do I have to add the meta data tag for every single game individually?

I assume you can still use Steven Selph's scraper, but I'm not sure, as I've never used the child-friendly version myself.

@Luca1: I think you do have to add them yourself, but you can set up your controller to use the X and Y buttons to set games to favourite and kid-friendly, so you don't have to go into the metadata for each one.

              I used

by @floob to get it running.

@Luca1 you do need to go into retropie menu and go into run command and disable joystick so you would need a keyboard to change video mode and emulator. You MUST do that before this next step. To remove the retropie menu you need to go to /opt/retropie/configs/all/emulationstation/gamelists/ and find the folder "retropie" and put something like an exclamation point in it. So it will look something like "!retropie" now they cant get into anything they shouldnt. Just remember once you set it into kids mode you can get it back to normal mode with the konami code by pressing up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right b, a, start.
