      All to everyone...

anyone, could help me to change the joystick settings?

normally i connect joystick in USB "0" port

but if i try to run jstest dev/input/js0 - the test results for the keyboard in usb port 1
joystick results only in jstest dev/input/js1

how I can change joystick setting from Js1 to Js0 ?

      thanks in advance.

may be switch around the usb ports? try to plug your keyboard at 3 and your first joystick at 0.

Unfortunately, i just tried to plug keyboard in usb port number "3"....
            boot raspberry pi3
            (retropie 4.1)

            linux command line:

            jstest /dev/input/js0 = keyboard
            jstest /dev/input/js1 = joystick

i would think that there is a config file in linux... where it is stored.

            i would set Joystick js0
            and keyboard js1

            ;)
someone would know tell me where it saved this parameter?

@andrea_ita I think you may want to remove both device first and then detect it one by one.

Quit ES by pressing F4, ran sudo ~/RetroPie-Setup/retropie_setup.sh

went to Manage Packages -> Core Packages -> emulationstation -> Configuration and chose the option Clear/Reset Emulation Station input configuration.

Restarted ES by plug in Joystick (to the 0 Port) only with no keyboard and config your Joystick.

Restarted again and plug in your keyboard to 3 port.

delete es_input.cfg won't work. I tried so many times. The instruction above remove all the controllers.

Another idea is to fix the keyboard so it won't detect as joystick:

i just follow your suggest.... in both ways, with 4 reboot...
reconfig first joystick... reboot... plug keyboard.. reboot...

in the linux prompt.. /dev/input/js0 is always the keyboard.... :(
