I've got the music working for the Doom 1 and 2 iwads, but I can't get mp3 music working for the mods I installed using the wiki's instructions. Is there something else I should change in the prboom.cfgs located in the mods' respective directories?

@jcook84 for me doom 2's music played in tnt and plutonia as well nothing special added. you probably should add shortcuts to all the music files into the mods folders

Still no luck. I should clarify, I'm trying to get music working for 'Back to Saturn X'. I know the mp3 files work because I can get BTSX music to play in Doom 2, but mp3 music won't work if I add anything to the "wad file" field in prboom.cfg (main directory or mod folders= same result).

@jcook84 i would try setting up zdoom. You dont need music files for anything. It takes them out of the wads. In the settings options you can also change the music output settings with the music player. Ie: you could play doom 2's music, the mods music, etc., etc... just go into dooms options and it has a huge set of options for everything.

@edmaul69 I've got zdoom mostly handled....

:) I'm kinda stuck on prboom for my rpi0 builds for two reasons...i like the scanlines and I managed to get it to work with my Wii U Pro controllers.

@jcook84 yes love the scanlines and the controls. The only problem is lr-prboom is that the keyboard isnt supported so there are a lot of things you cant do. I tried to get doom mods to work too with no luck but i have 50 of them set up perfect in zdoom. The controllers can be easily set up in zdoom. I really wish it had scanlines though. That is the real bummer.

I'm going to follow a tangent and try to merge doom2.wad and btsx_e1.wad into a single wad (wadmerge1.1). If not we'll just have to be happy with either music or scanlines, haha

@jcook84 yeah i wish i could have scanlines :( but i have too many mods working in zdoom. And several are for zdoom only. It sucks the pi isnt fast enough for "winter'fury" i had to make the screen really really tiny for parts of level 1. And there is so much lag level 2 is not playable.
