Don' know exactly why, but theres some Nes games that with the default emulator doesn't launch. I mean, It shows a black screen and then return to the frontend. If I select the other nes emulator installed (lr-fceumm instead of lr-nestopia) then those roms works. All my roms are no-intro roms.
For example, these roms works with lr-nestopia:
Hudson's Adventure Island III (U) [!].nes
Super Mario Bros. 2 (E) [!].nes
Super Mario Bros. 3 (U) (PRG1) [!].nesBut these don't:
Hudson's Adventure Island (E) [!].nes
Super Mario Bros. (JU) [!].nes
Super Mario Bros 2 (Lost Levels) (Unl).nesThanks a lot in advance!
-
@Carcayu update the emulator from binary or update RetroPie (via update all installed packages).
-
Yes it works updating the emulator! Thanks a lot BuZz!.
Just curious, was it an emulator bug?
-
@Carcayu yes. An old one too (but triggered only in certain conditions).
-
@Carcayu No-Intro ROMs are not named in that format. They look like Cowering Good format.
-
@windale you're right, I've made a mess , it is a Goodnes romset (I used it before for an arcade cabinet project a few years ago and I didn't remember the romset I used)
-
@Carcayu hey man did you ever get Super Mario Bros 2 (Lost Levels) (Unl).nes to work in retro pie? could u share what you did exactly?
thanks so much
-
@briandamico it just worked for me. You might want to try downloading the lost levels from another location. Not sure if mine was named the same becauase i remove the garbage in the name.
-
@edmaul69 i looked in a few places and couldn't find it. i have had it for a few years, using it mostly on my mac and on a GB Advance rom cart. but have not tried on the pie.
you suggest i remove garbage from the name of it? wanna give me a hint of where to look for something that works? -
@edmaul69 i got it
i removed the garbage lol
good tip
