Re: ES Scraper Error: Failed to save resize image
I was having the same issue as in the referenced post above but found it to be caused by a different issue altogether so I figured I'd post it here in the hopes that it will help someone or maybe help to fix the issue.
When you use the scraper, occasionally it will come back and say ERROR SAVING RESIZED IMAGE. OUT OF MEMORY? DISK FULL?. If you know you're not running out of memory and have plenty of disk space this can be rather annoying. It tends to happen much more frequently when scraping systems that aren't associated with a set, The Famicom Disk System for example.
If you look at the downloaded image, in the case of Famicom it would be located in ~/.emulationstation/downloaded_images/fds, and you do a file on the image (i.e. file mario.jpg) it will see it as HTML instead of an image. Opening the file confirms that it is HTML.
I'm guessing that the scraper is having trouble finding the associated ROM images and downloads what it thinks is an image then tries to resize it, which fails because it's not an image at all to begin with. If you just continue to retry it eventually either skips it or finds an actual image file.

I think this has to do with thegamesdb being very slow, or even down at times. Specially the last day. I can't even scrape anything without it saying it now, even with Selph's. There are other options on Selph's, but not inside emulationstation.
