    I have the ProjectRetroPie 64GB image (Project Retrobution) and have a problem using a generic SNES game pad.

    It works on the menu screen but not with any of the emulators. I had deleted the es_input.cfg file, rebooted and reconfigured the game pad.

    Pressing the menu and select together does not get me back to the menu also.

    Is there something else I need to configure or delete?

    Is this image set up for a particular controller? If so which one?

        @Everett1954 we don't support 3rd party images. Especially those illegally distributing ROMs. Ask for help from who you got it from or start from a fresh image from our site.

          Sorry, didn't mean to break any forum rules. You can remove if you need to. I can always ask a generic controller question.

            @Everett1954

            I can always ask a generic controller question.

            You can do so and someone may be able to help. However, you'll always be working at a disadvantage in regard to troubleshooting any problems going forward, as you will never be sure exactly what was changed in the image that could be a contributing factor. This will not only exhaust your own time, but also that of others trying to help you.

            RetroPie v4.5 • RPi3 Model B • 5.1V 2.5A PSU • 16GB SanDisk microSD • 512GB External Drive
