Xin-Mo Controller with Uae4Arm (controllers work but not as expected!)
-
I'm using the Xin-Mo with raspberry Pi 3 and retropie. I've got games working but the controls are 90 degrees rotated to where they should be i.e. Push right, moves icon up the screen. The controller works as expected in the MAME setup (so reluctant to reconfigure the wiring).
Any tips on how to remedy this......Thanks

@jbodders Is the wiring correct, or is this some software problem? In other words, does the pin for LEFT on the Xin-mo actually connect to the switch you are actuating when you push left and so on? I think I would want to ensure that the wiring is correct (even though you want to avoid that) before looking for a software remap solution.
That said, you might be able to remap several emulators at once by editing
/opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch.cfg
, but standalone emulators will work differently. UAE4Arm looks like it has hardcoded controls, so UP,DOWN,LEFT,RIGHT are hard coded to arrow keys. I think you are stuck messing with your wires. -
@caver01 thanks for such a quick reply, I thought this might be the case, and it would make sense to do the re-wiring to suit UAE4arm, before re-mapping MAME using your config suggestion!
