Sorry mate. I'm running retropie 4.0 on a pi3 model b iv had I running sweetly with a lot of emulators I downloaded a mame libretro romset and transferred them using USB method I restarted and it just keeps booting to command line where it says 'terminate called after throwing an instance of 'boost::filesystem::filesystem_error' what(): boost::filesystem::directory_itcrator::construct: Permsission denied "/home/pi/RetroPie/rom/mame-libretro/muran" Aborted. And while in command terminal the keyboard will not work no keys will input. I tried to post a pic up with my first post but don't think k it uploaded.

@hannaman you can repeatedly hit f4 when booting until it kicks to the command line. Then your keyboard should work. Then you can give permissions to your whole mame-libretro folder.

@hannaman i had given mine 777 permissions to the entire folder. If you can use mame-libretro i would recommend trying to.

@edmaul69 it won't let me change permissions it says error code 3 error message from server. Permissions denied.

                    Also hitting f4 done nothing.

Ok, and maybe you can tell the rest of the world how you sorted it and why you couldn't at first?
