Emulator specific Xbox controller issue

Hi,

I have installed retropie 4.1(premade off website) on my old raspi 1B (will upgrade if I get on with retropie)

My Xbox controller with generic receiver works in the menus AND on the genesis emulator.

BUT

On the default snes emulator (snes9x2002) you can use the menus, but in game you can't move/jump etc.

Any ideas please? I bet it's something really simple! :D

I have done hours of reading and spent over 6 hours trying lol!

My psu is made by RS and its rated at 1.2A - It was the one recommended at the time (bear in mind it only a pi 1B!)

my file in RETROPIE/configs/all/retroarch-joypads/Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver (XBOX).cfg looks like this http://pastebin.com/fHC1Dm78

I have also tried inputting all the inputs from the main xbox config file in the snes/retroarch.cfg file without success.

I have since noticed however that the controls work in snes9x2005 (but not 2002?)
