Hi guys, just a quick one:
is there a way to access the dipswitches in FBA - i can't seem to do it. There is nothing in the core menu using start+x.
The game i'm playing (Alcon) doesn't work in mame (where i can access dipswitches) so i'm using FBA but i want to change the difficulty because it always was really hard!

      cheers

if you're using lr-fba-next there should be all available dip switches in the RGUI: quick menu > options

alternatively, any software settings can be tweaked:

          hi, yeah i'm using ir-fba-next.
by RGUI: quick menu > options do you mean the menu you get to by holding start+x??
i've tried that and there are no dipswitches that i can see there.

Also, that page says i can hold start and a settings menu appears - tried that and nothing happens??

Yeah holding start doesn't work for me. Go to Core Options -> Diagnostics -> Enable

ok, i enabled diagnostics but it doesn't do anything?
what is it supposed to do (holding start still does nothing)?
              thanks

@aardvark Restart content from the RetroArch menu and then choose Resume content. Should work, if not, I am all out of ideas.

"enable diagnostics" is not a core option in lr-fba-next. i don't think you're using the core you think you're using :) or at least, an old version? what version of retropie is this?

                  in lr-fba-next:
in the quick menu > options you should see the button combo required to open the system menu - it's option 'diagnostic input' (it defaults to 'hold start', so it's weird that it's not working). close the menu, and do the button combo.

ahhh, just realised i'm using ir-fba for alcon as it doesn't work in ir-fba-next - sorry about that i totally forgot (i'm also using retropie 3.7 fyi).

so it looks like its not going to be possible??
