      Can someone help me please with an issue I have that has appeared on my Retropie Emulation station.

      When I try to change a default emulator for roms I get the following message flash up
      sed: couldn't open temporary file /opt/retropie/configs/all/sedxJJ3ld: Permission denied

      I'm using a Mac and Cyberduck to send roms over but can't locate the path it specifies as I think I need to root the device and I don't think I can access root with Cyberduck.

      Am I close?

        Maybe this can solve your problem (but you really should provide more info about your system):

        sudo chown -R pi.pi /opt/retropie/configs

            @meleu thanks for your advice.

            I'm running a Raspberry Pi 3
            Retropie v4.1.19
            3v Power supply
            Built from the image found on this website
            I have a wired USB controller
            Wireless 8Bitdo FC30 Pro controller
            USB wired keyboard

            and I'm using a Mac with Cyberduck

            Where do I enter the code you provided - do I just quit out of Emulation Station and enter it in the console?

              @earwig999 Yip, F4 to get to command line / console. Enter the command. I would say reboot afterwards and then try to change the emu again.
