Workaround For Reicast systemManager symlink from FAT32 USB Drive?
-
Today I switched over to using a USB drive to store my ROMs and things are working very well, but the Dreamcast System Manager link can't be created on the USB drive because RetroPie requires the drive to be formatted FAT32.
I can see in the source for the setup that the link is going to nothing, so it's not an actual CDI file that's being run.
# Link to file that does not exist as this results in the Dreamcast System Manager launching (as if one turned on the Dreamcast without a disc inserted) # This is required to fix broken / corrupted VMU files. ln -sf fileThatDoesNotExist "$home/RetroPie/roms/dreamcast/systemManager.cdi"
Is there a workaround to start the System Manager when running ROMs from a FAT32 USB drive since the file system doesn't support Symlinks? I tried creating an empty file with
systemManager.cdi
as the name, and that didn't work. -
I made some changes for this just now - Please update retropie-setup and update the reicast emulator. It should then create a "+Start Reicast" launch script for entering system manager
