Raspberry Pi Zero W (RetroPie)

I recently purchased the new RPI Z W and when I uploaded RetroPie on it, it freezes. It's stuck on the rainbow screen. I have a RPI 3 and I tried the SD card in it and it works fine. I also tried the SD card from the RPI 3 and it gets past the rainbow screen but freezes on when it's booting up (I think because it's the wrong format). I'm at a loss right now. I have been able to put raspbian on it but RetroPie I have on the SD card does not work. Does anyone have any thoughts or help for me?

@herb_fargus Is there a trick to retrieving these images from Google Drive? Every link I have went to doesn't have a file in the zip I download.
